Nancy Grinstead, is a native from the Myrtle Beach area of South Carolina. Her husband Richard Grinstead is a native from Efland, North Carolina.
Richard and Nancy Grinstead moved to Sevierville, Tennessee in 1992 for work when the Myrtle Beach Air Force Base closed in 1991.
Richard Grinstead continued building homes and log cabins on Ski Mountain in Gatlinburg,TN.
Nancy Grinstead continued as a professional cleaner and worked for Mountain Laurel's Chalets as their first executive head housekeeper and as one of there cleaning subcontractors. Nancy Grinstead managed six subcontractor crews and thirteen employees. 

Richard and Nancy Grinstead have two daughters, Cassey and Tessa Grinstead and two grandchildren. All raised in Pigeon Forge and Sevierville Schools.
Cassey Grinstead attended Walter State and the University of Tennessee.
Tessa Grinstead attended Carson Newman University in Jefferson City, Tennessee and Union County College in Barborville, Kentucky.
Richard and Nancy Grinstead married in 1984.
